Based on the youth welfare planning of the district of Görlitz, various family education events take place in the IBZ St. Marienthal and in planning area 4 of the district of Görlitz as part of preventive child and youth work/youth social work/educational child and youth protection and family education.

The aim of the project is to provide a comprehensive educational offer for families.

For this purpose, topics of the different family and child-raising phases are taken up and the seminar contents are specially adapted to the needs of individual target groups. For example, there are courses for single parents, for young mothers and fathers, for families with children going through puberty, for parents with learning difficulties or for families with children with AD(H)S.
In addition to the family seminars, which take place as weekend courses at the IBZ, parenting courses are also organised and carried out in schools and day care centres in planning area 4 of the district of Görlitz (region of Oberland and Löbau) together with various cooperation partners.
